Barbara Leifer

After studying with Vincent La Selva at The Juilliard School, Barbara Leifer started her conducting career in 2011 at Carnegie Hall, New York City, conducting a Gala performance of Opera Arias and Overtures. Since that time she has conducted many concerts with choir, orchestra, and soloists in Berlin.
Barbara Leifer is the founder and musical director of The Diplomatic Choir of Berlin. They have performed concerts in the german capital, most notably at the Berliner Dom, Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedächtniskirche, Dresdener Kreuzkirche, Berlin City Hall, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and at the Konzerthaus as part of the Young Euro Youth Classic Festival. There were sent by the Federal Foreign Ministry to perform in The Cathedral de Notre-Dame in Strasbourg, France.
Barbara has conducted The Berlin State Opera's Children's Choir, and The Diplomatic Choir of Berlin for Frank Walter Steinmeier, President of Germany.
